Impressively exquisite, this 1970’s diamond flower "en Tremblant" pin is set in 18k yellow gold. Encrusted radiantly in diamonds, this flower is a shimmering beauty. The diamonds have a total approx. weight of 1.00 ct. The diamonds are F color and VS1 in clarity. Bearing the weight of the diamonds is a framework of meshed gold pieces acting as the petal finishing this look of arresting luxury. The center trembles when moved.
“En tremblant” is a French term – meaning “to tremble”. It was first used to describe 18th and 19th-century jewelry where parts of the diamond set pieces were attached to a trembler (a material that acts as a spring such as a thin metal wire) to create movement in the jewel when worn.
Why not stop and smell the flower. It measures 3" x 1 1/4". It weighs 32.34 grams. It is marked Spitzer and Furman and contains French hallmarks as well.
