This large whimsical gem set monkey brooch is made in 18k yellow gold. The artfully sculpted piece is crafted in open work coiled like gold. The eyes and tail are studded in dazzling diamonds. The monkey is holding round sapphires in his hand and a branch above his head is layered with rubies and diamonds. The diamonds have a total approx. weight of .65 ct. The diamonds are I in color and VS2 in clarity. There are approx. .75 ct each of the sapphires and rubies. The brooch measures 3" x 1" at its widest. It weighs 39.64 grams. It is marked 18k and JG JLRY.
