This smashing iolite, pink tourmaline and diamond ring dates from the 1970s. It is set in 14k yellow gold. With 1 sensational oval shaped piece of iolite, this ring is spectacular. The iolite is set in a large textured gold mounting in a crown like design creating a geometrically avant garde look. Set on either side of the iolite is a shield shaped pink tourmaline surrounded by gold bead work. Bordering the iolite in the most inventive way are 6 small diamonds bringing the smattering of glimmer. Dynamic and exquisite all at the same time. The iolite has an approx. weight of 2.00 ct. The pink tourmalines have a total approx. weight of .80 ct. The diamonds have a total approx.. weight of .25 ct. The diamonds are G in color and SI1 in clarity. The ring weighs 15.34 grams. It is a size 8. It measures 5/8" wide. It is marked 14k and SR.
