This Victorian graceful and chic brooch is set in 14k yellow gold. It dates from the 1800s. The star of the show is the colossal oval cut majestically purple amethyst stone intensifying the look. The amethyst is set in an ornate and beaded gold mounting boasting curves and complimented by a kiss of 4 smaller accents amethysts embracing the larger stone. Attached is a strait pin and chain designed for safety and also to enhance the look. It measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4". The chain and strait pin measure 4 3/4". It weighs 17.24 grams.
