This sensationally striking brooch is unlike anything you’ve seen before. It dates from the 1960’s. It is set in an 18k yellow gold ribbon inspired frame. Resting in the center of the ridged textured gold is a spectacular oval shaped black opal. The opal measures approx. 12 mm x 18 mm. The opal is a lustrous mix of dark blues and hints of lilac. Exalting the opal is the radiance of a shower of round diamonds. The diamonds have a total approx. weight of 2.00 ct. The diamonds are G in color and VS1 in clarity. The brooch measures 2 1/2 x 1 3/4” . The piece weighs 44.38 grams.It can be worn as a pendant as well. Uniquely beautiful and exceptionally unique.
