This exquisitely elegant carved Victorian carnelian intaglio pendant and locket is set in 10k yellow gold. It dates from the late 1800's. The rectangular shaped deep coffee colored carnelian is beautifully carved with double image of warriors of the time. The other side is an equally beautiful engraved and scrolled with an elaborate design. It is framed in a square shaped golden frame. It opens into a locket where you have room for 2 mementos. Simple sophistication infused with quiet powerfulness. The pendant measures 1" x 3/4". It weighs 10.71 grams.
