This majestically carved Victorian carnelian intaglio pendant is set in 14k yellow gold. It dates from the late 1800's. The roundish shaped deep amber colored carnelian is intricately carved with an image of a warrior. The other side is a piece of carnelian with the letter "C" carved into it. There is a soft translucence that is accentuated when held to the light. It is framed in a braided golden frame. Simple sophistication infused with quiet powerfulness. The pendant measures 7/8" x 3/4". the bale measures 1/4". It weighs 11.33 grams.
