This beautiful Virgin Mary Miraculous Medal heart pendant is set in 14k yellow gold. It dates from the 1950s. Within the floral like open work of the heart, is the Mother Mary, raised in polished gold, on a Florentine gold background. Above her are 3 round diamonds.The total approx. weight of the diamonds are .18 ct. The diamonds are H in color and VS2 in clarity. On the other side of the heart is the Miraculous Medal Prayer "O Mary Conceived without sin - Pray for us who have recourse to thee.
The Miraculous Medal is a devotional medal, the design of which was originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The heart weighs 14.92 grams. It measures 1 1/2" x 1 /14".
